Papa!

Since childhood I want to see God. I want to know who is this person so close to me and yet so far. Whenever I’m in trouble, I’m safely rescued from it as soon as I ask for help from Him. Yet, I can’t perceive him through my senses. Although I’ve always been inquisitive to know about Him as the creator of the universe, its preserver, manager, destroyer, creator of life, I’m more driven by my personal relations with Him. Why is he 24*7 ready to help me, why does he bother when I call Him, who is He, do I know Him from the time before my memories were born? Geeta says that my true identity is my soul, my consciousness which is immortal, above the cycle of birth and death, outside the circumference of time, a reflection of God.

The only question that springs up is why does Geeta tell me so, shouldn’t I know this on my own? Don’t I have the right to know about myself without meditating for 100 years or more? Why is my memory so worthless that it can’t recall even the most important of all information I would have collected since……………….I can’t even specify the time.

Geeta says that it’s I who has forgotten Him and it can’t ever be the other way round. At this juncture of realization, I feel that if at all there is some definition of sin, it’s losing contact with God.

Accepted - my actions cause an impression not only on my mind but my conscience (soul’s consciousness) too which remains with it even after the material body is dissolved and it doesn’t matter at all what happens to the world outside by my actions - whether I create a havoc or spring it’s all the same unless the world inside doesn’t get affected. Accepted - it’s the burden of those impressions, specifically that of the bad ones, that creates the environment of my next life. But above all there is one truth – no matter how sinful I am, the instant I enter His mansion, I’m free of all limitations, purer than the sunlight, happier and more blissful than smile and everything in the universe is engulfed by my consciousness as if I were the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets, the gardens, the plants, the animals, the waterfalls, the birds, the flowers and then I dissolve in God, no longer being a reflection of Him but a solute in the universal solvent. Thus, nothing on earth is a sin as long as you love and seek Him. Truly, forgetting Him is the greatest sin.

Everything existing in the universe is a condensation of fickle vibrations, even the five elements. Life is a condensation of thoughts and consciousness – the ultimate source being God. Nothing belongs to me, everything is His. I’m His and thus he cares for me so much. He is the one who bestowed me with such a lovely nature, loving friends, relatives, siblings and above all – my parents.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s better to call my father as God or God as father. They’re both indistinguishable in nature and I can’t survive without any of them. But undoubtedly, at least as long as I’m a human being on earth, I would prefer calling God as father and not the other way round for it’s God who will feel honoured to assume my father’s position. Selfless actions, absolutely indisputable decisions, rigid honesty, mature forgiveness, the most efficient dutifulness, the perfect balance of inner and outer attention are some of the countless virtues in the making of my father which can inspire even Lord Rama to incarnate again and try to be like him. I’ve thanked God more than anything else on giving me my father. As soon as I think of him, I’m overflowing with strength. There are times when God is two seconds late and then I remember my father – at once, all darkness is overcome and all that remains is light.

"God! You were lucky when Jesus used to call you father and today even I am going to repay everything that you’ve given me by calling you PAPA! All debts repaid?! Now everytime I call you PA, you owe me my Father in one more life!"

In Retrospection

I know not

If got carried away

Or consciously ran until now;

When turn back,

She is gone.

Even a year ago

Not mine she was.

But now I know

She was mine.

Not any more?

No it ain't possible,

I won't let it be possible.

I' as rude, I know

But she is not me.

Come on, show up!

I beg of you.

At least lemme see you,

Lemme caress you, protect you

Lemme touch you, listen to you

Sitting beside you, close, closer.

Lemme hold you, breathe you,

Lemme take you wherever I want.

Lemme play with you, sleep with you.

No, I won't shout at you,

Hit you, suppress you

Or make you cry.

No, I won't avoid you,

Be ashamed of you,

Or make you beg for my time.

No, I won't force you

Or make you apologize in public.

But only if -

You don't talk to him,

Him or him either,

You don't smile at

The guy at the cafe,

You don't shake hands with the cousin

Of yours or mine.

I love you and only you,

More honestly than you.

I'm the only man

In the world

Possessed by your love.

i'M tHE YOUTH

Till last Sunday, my take on life as a youth was -

“Who cares, let's party guys!"

And then I came across -

"One vision I see as life before me: that the ancient Mother India has awakened once more, sitting on Her throne rejuvenated, more glorious than ever. Get up, and set your shoulder to the wheel."
- Swami Vivekananda

Youth is energy. The word dynamic finds it's origins in youth. The youth is the work-force, the powerful, the inevitable, the informidable, and nevertheless it's the youth that is the source of all changes. I'm sure God must have created the universe when he was youth if at all he is not any more. In Hindi, yuva is an anagram of vayu. And indeed it deserves it for youth has speed, it's in everyone and hidden inside youth is an enormous potential to overpower anything that comes in it's way. Youth symbolizes freshness. I'm youth. You're youth. We all are youth. But what for?

No any Bose is going to ask you Give me blood and I shall give you freedom. But each one of us has a Bose within. We've been inspired by Bhagat and Azaad since childhood and at least during pre-adolescence we wanted to be like them. A man is what he aspires to be and thus we all have the spark in us. But that spark is waiting to be unleashed to become a fire as widespread and engulfing as the one in our wildest dreams. Unleash your energy to spread the will to work for thy nation and not for thy self. Repeating honourable President's question - You say, say and say. What do you do about it? Each one of us has heard the Gita Shloka - Karmanyewdhikaraste mafaleshu kadachana. We even apparently know the meaning - you are only to perform your duties without an eye on their fruits. But we seldom know the implication or the application. If you put the community's self above your self and realize that your actions are going to affect the whole nation, you would be far more efficient, dogged determined and honest for you no longer worry about or speculate the results but concentrate on giving the best of what you have. We've an outstanding example of that - the Indian Army, the best in the world.

With firm realization of what we're and what we can do, let us work towards taking mother India to such heights that no bull-bear games pose threats to our economy. Let's run into politics in huge numbers to cease any further reservation or other suicidal bill. It's high time now - the situation demands it, the nation's craving for it - Inqalab Zindabaad!

Palpably, the basic difference between beautiful and sexy is the mode of perception you're in. A testosterone-flooded mind may perceive beautiful as sexy for beauty is the crucial ingredient of anything sexy. Au contraire, all that's immersed in beauty need not have the sex-punch in it.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and so is sexiness. In one of the ragging sessions conducted recently, I asked a freshie if the wallpaper of Anna Kournikova in bikini on my lappu(laptop) was sexy or beautiful. He replied," I don't know about the wallpaper but above all contradictions, Anna is sexy!" Moreover, the image of a personality i.e. your pre-opinion does count and formulates a biased opinion. So what's your take on the pix of Elisha Cuthbert pasted above -
sexy or beautiful?

Football: Play as a Play

If you’re a good actor, you are a successful husband, boyfriend, employee, interviewee and footballer too. Yeah! Don’t get bedazzled for that’s what has been a major deciding factor for triumphs in the recent WC. All the desperate soccer ke naukar in India who could brook the ESPN’s pre-match show Duniya Goal Hai know this – Dive In, remember?!

How shamelessly but instantly the one who actually committed foul play acts as if one has been trampled over or elbowed by one’s own prey! The act is a display of the marvellous acting talent footballers cherish and develop during their training sessions, thanks to the coaches who want to make it big by hook or by crook. The geniuses of soccer usually keep themselves at bay from the acting stunts referenced above albeit they do boast of the even more prized ability to overpower their counter mates with their dodging and tackling techniques. Please don’t complain for Klose is an exception, a substantial one though.

I personally don’t like paying heed to the pre-match predictions albeit I’m an ardent Fardeen fan. You don’t know Fardeen, the one and only ravishing rat that was ready to walk over perilous precipice to predict the outcome of a match (reference: Duniya Goal Hai)?! One thing no prediction could predict was the flop Ronaldinshow. Ronaldinho, in the earlier WCs, was a player par excellence who couldn’t get much attention in the star studded Brazilian team. This time, he paid the price of being the brightest star. He was constantly monitored by four-five players in every match to make sure he didn’t take control of the ball for long. Still the genius could execute brilliant passes but the malfunction of the Carlos Machine and an eclipsed Ronaldo kept the Brazilian game to standards much lower than expected.

This WC was an extravagant show of rudeness and roughness and speed, mobility and defence were the winning formulas; needless to mention the crucial role of penalties. For a moment, forget about the legitimacy of the game and enjoy the acting of players as if you’re in a theatre. I bet you will spontaneously hoot – The show must go on!

Success Mantra For Perfection

The transition from imperfection to perfection is an aspiration of both you and me. Sadly, most of the unsuccessful people and even the successful ones around us exhaust their energies in framing arguments that cover what they lack. An intentional illusion is what many of us live with and even leave with the same.

In an era of science and technology surpassing the nano-level, everything you assert needs to be proved before recognition. To your astonishment, this is just the preleminary stage of human evolution in terms of reasoning and perception. Eventually, the homo sapiens will evolve into unprecedented culmination of consciousness and perception. Then time will witness an era of "self-realization". Every individual will be aware of all the facts, figures, events, laws of nature, pas, present, future, right and wrong by simply wishing to know it. The need to prove anything will disappear.

Even today, we've a sense of realization - realization through experience. My experiences made me realize that the difference between imperfection and perfection is improvement, needless to say. The more you improve, the more you drift from imperfection towards perfection. Interestingly, perfection is the only unattainable thing and that's why we succumb to say - Only God is perfect; humans are meant to be imperfect. But why do we crave for perfection? May be, because we have an in-built crave for God. When God created us, he induced an opposite magnetic pole in us that pulls us towards Him or atleast motivates to strive for perfection which, in turn, is divine. The right approach to the scenario is to strive for perfection with the dogged determination of a student to learn and absorb and implement till the dawn of life. If we're doing that, we're doing the best possible thing and can label ourselves 'perfect' albeit we still have miles to go.

The Panda Funda

A panda walked into a restaurant and ordered a sandwitch and a drink. When he finished, he pulled out a pistol and shot up the place, scaring customers and breaking dishes, glasses and liquor bottles before turning to leave. Shocked, the manager said,"Hey, where are you going?"
The panda glanced back over his shoulder and said," I'm a panda, look it up", before disappearing through the door. The bartender pulled out a dictionary and thumbed through it until he found an entry for panda. The definition read,"A tree dwelling animal of Asian origin characterized by distinct black-and-white markings. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Youths, spring up! It's an open clarion call for the chat savvys who believe they can keep visitors clinged to their chat servers as long as they want. Mr Virgineer has added to the series of RJ, VJ & DJ a new dimension, WJ or Web Jockey.
There is one and only one characteristic feature of the species that's WJ - a prized ability to catch hold of a crowd of net surfers and restraining it to the site for a considerable period of time.
