gyanMax

We are all part of the same compost heap. Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. Reject the basic assumptions of civilization, especially the importance of material possessions. You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.
Its not until you lose everything that you are free to do anything.

This may be assumed as a sequel of an earlier post containing

Steve Jobs

THE GREATEST SECOND ACT IN THE HISTORY OF BUSINESS

By Jeffrey S. Young & William L. Simon

Steve Jobs - the name itself sparks off a series of flashes in your mind. All the revolutionary products of Apple find their seeds sown by this charismatic personality. Believed to be an outstanding speaker having a huge crowd of followers, Steve Jobs has always promised his fans thrills and excitements more than ever before in his public launch ceremonies of Apple's products. His style of work is simply mesmerizing. Let's have a look.

One of his employees:
We would have these management retreats at spectacular resorts. There would be a couple of days of meetings and at night we would open the bar and dance until we dropped. This wasn’t like working.

His vision has always been much ahead of times and that's what makes him one of the fore-runner leaders of the tech-world. He wanted people to realize what wonders computer can bring to the world of animation and here's the reaction:
When people saw [the Pixar computer graphics short] Luxo Jr., they said,”Oh, this is what computer animation is all about!”

Everybody wonders what makes someone so eligible to be considered as the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company. Here's something to take note:
Steve Jobs gets his face on Time magazine, he’s loved by Wall Street. He’d be a perfect guy to take over Disney.

Steve has always come up with new slogans to instill the right dosages of enthusiasm and commitment into his employees. No wonder he is an HR manager to die for:

Insanely great.

Let’s make a dent in the universe.

The journey is the reward.

Let’s be pirates.

This is going to be huge.

Beyond the box.

Reinventing apple.

Think different.

Failure expands your consciousness.

Kher & Kakkar

Last 36 hours brought me into contact with two eminent personalities – Anupam Kher and Prahlad Kakkar. The former is an actor and the latter an adman. Both are genius. You never realize that until their charisma and enigma catches you live. Before both of the respective lectures, I was lethargic enough to rot in my room amidst the usual malodorous fumes. Providentially, I somehow happened to be in the sanctified auditorium and the juice was worth the squeeze. Some of the chronological commandments of life leaked out are as follows: (->the apology smiley is for the pathetic clichés of my notorious mind which have plagued the paragraph towards the end)

Failures are as worthy of celebration as success, perhaps more sometimes. When you are not afraid of failures, the latent potential within you liberates itself. Success brings with itself arrogance as dowry.

Life is about choosing between journey and destination and it turns out that journey can be of more worth than the destination itself. In fact, the key to happiness lies in enjoying the journey and taking life as it is.

Bheega hua aadmi baarish se nahi darta (A drenched person is not scared of the rains). Let yourself go through the vicissitudes of life but rise out of any abyss like a mountain.

Counting upon your past-achievements is losing your present ones.

Rising to the zenith is commendable but staying there is genius.

Success is like money. Once you realize that you have it, you have already taken your first step towards losing it. Failures elevate you to success; success brings with itself the fear of failure.

The best way to avert mistakes is not to repeat them. Silly mistakes are like common cold; you never know when they creep inside and spit phlegm on your answer sheet.

i'M tHE YOUTH

Till last Sunday, my take on life as a youth was -

“Who cares, let's party guys!"

And then I came across -

"One vision I see as life before me: that the ancient Mother India has awakened once more, sitting on Her throne rejuvenated, more glorious than ever. Get up, and set your shoulder to the wheel."
- Swami Vivekananda

Youth is energy. The word dynamic finds it's origins in youth. The youth is the work-force, the powerful, the inevitable, the informidable, and nevertheless it's the youth that is the source of all changes. I'm sure God must have created the universe when he was youth if at all he is not any more. In Hindi, yuva is an anagram of vayu. And indeed it deserves it for youth has speed, it's in everyone and hidden inside youth is an enormous potential to overpower anything that comes in it's way. Youth symbolizes freshness. I'm youth. You're youth. We all are youth. But what for?

No any Bose is going to ask you Give me blood and I shall give you freedom. But each one of us has a Bose within. We've been inspired by Bhagat and Azaad since childhood and at least during pre-adolescence we wanted to be like them. A man is what he aspires to be and thus we all have the spark in us. But that spark is waiting to be unleashed to become a fire as widespread and engulfing as the one in our wildest dreams. Unleash your energy to spread the will to work for thy nation and not for thy self. Repeating honourable President's question - You say, say and say. What do you do about it? Each one of us has heard the Gita Shloka - Karmanyewdhikaraste mafaleshu kadachana. We even apparently know the meaning - you are only to perform your duties without an eye on their fruits. But we seldom know the implication or the application. If you put the community's self above your self and realize that your actions are going to affect the whole nation, you would be far more efficient, dogged determined and honest for you no longer worry about or speculate the results but concentrate on giving the best of what you have. We've an outstanding example of that - the Indian Army, the best in the world.

With firm realization of what we're and what we can do, let us work towards taking mother India to such heights that no bull-bear games pose threats to our economy. Let's run into politics in huge numbers to cease any further reservation or other suicidal bill. It's high time now - the situation demands it, the nation's craving for it - Inqalab Zindabaad!
